Highlights in History of Interstate Postgraduate Medical Association

Abstract

The 1965 Interstate Postgraduate Medical Association Assembly marked the fiftieth anniversary of this great teaching organization. This brief history of the Interstate by its immediate past president recalls many great names in medicine and describes the development of an organization which became the prototype for most other postgraduate medical teaching programs and helped turn the tide of world medicine toward the United States.
