Abstract
Leiomyoma of the stomach, a rather unusual lesion, should be considered in the differential diagnosis of unexplained anemia with or without gross gastrointestinal bleeding. Other symptoms may include a palpable epigastric mass and unexplained dyspepsia. When roentgenograms are non-diagnostic and further investigation is warranted, gastroscopy should be performed. Surgical removal is the only effective treatment for the lesion.
