Abstract
Parts 1 and 2 of this three part discussion emphasized the universal human requirements for vitamin, protein and other nutrients and discussed in detail the clinical syndromes beriberi, sprue and kwashiorkor. Part 3 concerns other diseases of malnutrition—pellagra, nutritional edema, epidemic dropsy, osteomalacia, vitamin A deficiency and tropical macrocytic anemia. The importance of continued good nutrition and eradication of seasonal malnutrition is stressed.
