Abstract

Chemotherapy is used in osseous metastatic lesions for palliation, but never for cure. Palliation must be clearly indicated, since antineoplastic agents may produce undesirable side effects. The drug of choice will vary with the origin of the primary neoplasm.

Part 1 of this discussion, on the orthopedic arid radio therapeutic aspects of osseous metastatic lesions, was published in May.
