Tumors of the Small Intestine

Abstract

We should be able to improve our diagnostic acumen in cases of tumors of the small bowel. Obscure abdominal symptoms should bring to mind the possibility of small-bowel neoplasm and point to the need for a careful radiographic examination. The persistent presence of occult blood in the stool justifies laparotomy even in the absence of positive radiographic findings.
