Renal Vein Thrombosis

Abstract

In the majority of reported cases, renal vein thrombosis has been diagnosed post mortem. This article reviews experience with 17 cases of renal vein thrombosis in adults. In 12 the diagnosis was made during life. Particular attention is given to the presenting symptoms in adults and in infants, radiologic and laboratory investigations which may lead to definitive diagnosis, and prognosis and treatment.
