, M.D.
Pages 363-373 | Published online: 18 Apr 2016

Abstract

The eye often mirrors disease elsewhere in the body or suffers from it. It may also reflect the effects of drugs used to treat non-ocular disease. Many cutaneous diseases are consistently associated with ocular lesions. The illustrative material includes examples of ocular lesions in the phakomatoses, herpes simplex, diabetes, lupus erythematosus, and numerous other disease states.
