Abstract

Certain gynecologic tumors respond to chemotherapeutic agents, although at present the hoped-for benefits are palliation and prolongation of life rather than cure. Hopefully, further research will result in more effective interference with the function and reproduction of the malignant cell through the use of chemical agents.
