Understanding Homosexuality

, M.B.
Pages A-131-A-136 | Published online: 18 Apr 2016

Abstract

There is no evidence whatsoever of a hereditary, constitutional, hormonal, somatic or organic basis for homosexuality. It is an exclusively psychogenic condition and is as curable as any other chronic psychologic disorder. The majority of persons presenting for therapy change for the better, and more than one-third correct their homosexual orientation. The careful and knowledgeable diagnosis of the patient's particular homosexuality determines the prognosis and the therapeutic goal.
