Abstract

There is no miraculous cure for atopic eczema in children. Therapy must be directed toward providing relief and keeping the skin in good condition until the child outgrows the disease. Management may include environmental, dietary, topical and systemic treatment. Systemic steroid therapy is seldom necessary.
