Abstract

New vaccines being developed offer excellent prospects for control of several important diseases. A live attenuated mumps virus vaccine is expected before the end of 1967, and a rubella vaccine within the next few years. Clinical trials are being conducted with vaccines of killed-virus and live-virus materials for the prevention of respiratory diseases.
