Skin Manifestations of Internal Malignancy

Pages 494-500 | Published online: 18 Apr 2016

Abstract

Skin may be invaded by metastases from nearly any internal malignancy. The entire skin surface should be carefully inspected when an internal malignancy is suspected. Skin changes common to many diseases including malignancy are considered, as well as syndromes or entities which occur often enough with internal malignancy to warrant consideration of this possibility. The effects of hormone-secreting tumors are also discussed.
