Saving the Mother and Baby During Urgent Surgery

Abstract

Twelve surgical situations that may require prompt operation to save the mother are ectopic pregnancy, Couvelaire uterus, ulcer hemorrhage, uterine bleeding from placental separation and hydatidiform mole, twisted ovarian cysts or subserous myoma, appendicitis, intestinal obstruction, hernia, cholecystitis, nephrolithiasis and pulmonary embolism.
