How We Treat Superficial Fungous Infection

Abstract

When confronted with superficial fungi, these dermatologists treat dermatophytosis with orally administered griseofulvin, candidiasis with topical nystatin or amphotericin B, tinea versicolor with 2.5 percent selenium sulfide as a detergent shampoo, and erythrasma with orally administered erythromycin or tetracyclines.
