Secondary Amenorrhea

Abstract

Secondary amenorrhea is a symptom of an underlying disorder and may be psychogenic, neurogenic, nutritional, endocrine or endometrial in origin. Therapy is directed toward correcting the underlying disorder with the goal of restoring cyclic ovulatory menses.
