All That Wheezes Is Not Asthma

Abstract

Wheezing of short duration in a patient who has no past or family history of allergy suggests tracheal obstruction rather than asthma. Diagnosis is made by physical and x-ray examination of the chest, tracheal tomography, bronchoscopy and pulmonary function studies.
