Abstract
Successful treatment of excessive sweating depends on the degree of the disorder, responsiveness to available measures, and presence or absence of recurrent dermatoses. Topical measures may suppress moderate hyperhidrosis. Systemic treatment is generally reserved for patients in whom the disorder causes a significant social or occupational handicap.
