Gynecology in Adolescents

Abstract

What problems is the gynecologist likely to encounter in adolescents? Most common are vaginitis and vulvitis, pelvic infection, pregnancy, pain during menstruation, and nonovulatory uterine bleeding. Usually he can examine patients of this age vaginally. If infection is present, he should culture for gonorrhea.
