Abstract

With aging come physical, psychologic and economic problems. Loneliness and inactivity often intensify these problems. Physicians can help ease the plight of elderly patients by recommending activities that entertain, fill spiritual needs, require work with hands or mind, require more education, or provide trips and outings.
