Locating the Source of Gastrointestinal Bleeding

Abstract

Gastrointestinal bleeding can now be localized earlier and more accurately by an aggressive diagnostic approach using newer tools and technics. Among the causes of acute bleeding from the upper part of the gastrointestinal tract, chronic peptic ulcer disease is less common, and erosive esophagitis and gastritis are more common, than has been supposed.
