Abstract

An intraperitoneal cyst may be present for years before a child's abdomen protrudes enough to cause suspicion of abnormality. As this case illustrates, exact radiographic diagnosis is difficult, but x-ray examination can identify the cyst. Surgical correction is then relatively easy, since this uncommon cyst is usually solitary and benign.
