Abstract

Since 1910, when Rindfleisch injected contrast medium into the uterus, hysterosalpingography has become a simple and safe procedure. With this technic, physicians can visualize the uterine cavity and tubal lumina, thereby defining congenital malformations, uterine synechiae, causes of habitual abortions, uterine fistulas, and uterine scars.
