Approaches to Deformities in Rheumatoid Arthritis

, M.D.
Pages 136-143 | Published online: 18 Apr 2016

Abstract

The physician who treats patients with rheumatoid arthritis has to consider both the total effect of the disease and specific joint problems.

Once he understands the mechanisms of how individual joints become deformed, he can not only recognize early joint changes but also tell patients specifically how much to exercise to minimize pain yet ward off deformities.
