Abstract
The violent delinquent is usually impulse-dominated and psychologically infantile. The pathology underlying the delinquent act varies from individual to individual even though the acts are the same.
Overstimulation, overgratification and overdeprivation (and understimulation and undergratification) can cause the individual to use delinquent acts to discharge tension. Some delinquent acts have a specific symbolic meaning. Many are the result of social pathology.
