Abstract

In spite of drawbacks, skin tests are invaluablediagnostic tools. Scratch testing done as a preliminary to intradermal tests greatly reduces the number of troublesome reactions. Any reaction that begins within seconds and becomes 3+ or 4+ within two to four minutes is potentially dangerous.
