Abstract

There is hardly a nervous function without direct or indirect influence on pupillary reactions. To mention only a few of the important pupillary abnormalities, a dilated pupil might be a sign of Adie's syndrome or peripheral third nerve injury, constriction might signify syphilis, and papillary irregularity might be due to ocular trauma or previous iritis.
