Abstract

The elderly person has live long enough that concomitant disease often influences the diagnostic and therapeutic approach to a cardiovascular problem. Treatment may be made more complex by the very drugs used to relieve symptoms. While there is no cure for aging, palliative measures must be used wisely, and the primary aspects of cardiovascular disease in the elderly demand frequent review.
