Myoclonic Seizures in Infancy and Childhood

Abstract

When a careful study fails to uncover a known cause of myoclonic seizures in an infant, early treatment with ACTH or steroids is the prudent course. The mental status seldom improves, but these drugs have been effective in reducing the number of seizures and improving the electroencephalograms.
