Abstract

Immunoelectrophoresis combines the classic technic of zone electrophoresis on an appropriate medium with an adaptation of the double immunodiffusion method. Monoclonal gammopathies are usually easily recognized. Although basically a qualitative method, it does allow some degree of quantitation.
