Arthrogryposis Multiplex Congenita

Abstract

Infants with arthrogryposis multiplex congenita have muscle atrophy, fibrous ankylosis of the joints of the upper and lower extremities, fragile bones, and a deficiency of anterior horn cells. Because of these changes their bones may be fractured during routine handling and growth cartilage may be permanently damaged.
