Abstract

Enabling handicapped persons to compete for employment on the open market is the ultimate objective of vocational rehabilitation. Training toward this goal is provided by federally supported state agencies, but securing employment for the handicapped is often difficult. The most helpful factor in job placement is often the handicapped person's own initiative.
