Abstract
Atropine and then isoproterenol, if necessary, are the drugs recommended for the treatment of sinus bradycardia or the Wenchebach type of second-degree atrioventricular block in patients who have had myocardial infarction. A transvenous pacing catheter is always inserted if third-degree atrioventricular block or certain types of bundle-branch block are present.
