Abstract

Many biochemical, endocrine and biophysical procedures are being used to monitor the fetal environment, the objective being development of a battery of tests for subclinical fetal distress applicable throughout the antepartum course. Among the biochemical tests, assay of diamine oxidase is uniquely applicable to problems of the first and second trimesters.
