Community Medicine at the University of California, San Diego

Abstract

Community medicine must interact with adjacent clinical skills and with disciplines such as economics and the social and behavioral sciences. The focus is on systems of medical care and on its coordination, integration and evaluation. These concepts of community medicine are being developed within the framework of the new medical school and the developing general campus at the University of California, San Diego.
