Infantile Cortical Hyperostosis and Skull Defects

Abstract

The incidence of infantile cortical hyperostosis seems to have decreased in the past three years. The cause of the disease is unknown, but some believe it may be of viral or allergic origin. The diagnosis is difficult when the mandible is not involved or when the disease is in the monostotic or a variant form.
