Abstract

The rational use of drugs in the management of patients with renal insufficiency and its complications is contingent on comprehension and application of the basic pharmacologic principles governing drug disposition. Most pharmacologic agents can be used if dosages are modified as necessary and the specific adverse effects of each compound are anticipated.
