Abstract

Attention to the mental, social, environmental, economic and vocational problems of the cerebral palsy victim is as necessary as treatment of his physical limitations. Because of the types and degrees of involvement in cerebral palsy, many methods of treatment that vary widely in principles and rationale have seemed to yield results. The theory of “patterning,” however, has aroused considerable controversy.
