Aftereffects of Hypospadias Repair in Childhood

Abstract

How much functional and morphologic abnormality remains after hypospadias repair in childhood? This study of 130 adult patients indicates that with adequate repair a patient can function normally, but many patients abstain from sexual relationships because of feelings of abnormality and inferiority. Early psychotherapy may help these patients.
