Abstract
A patient whose heart rate does not increase to 150 to 160 beats per minute, depending on age, in response to Master's test is given a pulse-graded near-maximal exercise test with radioelectrocardiographic recording during and after the exercise. This test can be done in the doctor's office. Horizontal-type ST segment depression is the most significant abnormality.
