How I Treat Bullous Dermatoses

, M.D.

Abstract

Bullous dermatoses are characterized by the sudden appearance of large, fluid-filled blisters. Treatment is directed first toward determining the cause. The more common types of bullous dermatoses, such as erythema multiforme, usually respond well to treatment with baths or wet dressings and shake lotions, along with appropriate systemic antibiotics, corticosteroids, or immunosuppressive agents.
