Abstract

The interrelationships between hormones and emotions are evident in many common medical problems. Emotional conflict can cause endocrine dysfunction, and excess or deficiency of hormone can cause emotional changes. The psychologic changes produced by excess or deficiency of thyroid hormone or adrenocortical hormone are well known. We are gaining some understanding of underlying mechanisms.
