Abstract
The urologist is fortunate in having many tools to aid him in diagnosing urinary obstruction. An accurate diagnosis, of course, provides the surgeon with a clear picture of the disorder before he operates. Among the procedures used in diagnosis are cystoscopy, the various roentgenographic studies (cystography, intravenous pyelography, angiography), and scanning studies. Some of the causes of urinary obstruction revealed by these methods are shown here.
