Abstract

A 31 year old woman with a rare esophagomediastinal fistula associated with Hodgkin's disease was successfully managed without surgical intervention. Intravenous nitrogen mustard relieved progressive dyspnea and improved symptoms of a superior vena cava syndrome. The syndrome and fistula completely disappeared after irradiation with cobalt 60.
