Abstract
An embolus rarely results from injection of contrast medium into the left ventricle. Nevertheless, this occurred in a 43 year old man undergoing angiography for diagnosis of coronary artery disease. Neurologic signs indicated severe brain stem damage, which was confirmed at autopsy.
