Drug Interactions

Abstract

When a patient is being treated with multiple drugs, drug interactions may accelerate or inhibit the metabolism of one or more agents, leading to altered efficacy or toxicity. There is no easy solution to this problem, but the physician should try to anticipate drug interactions. An attempt is made to outline some general principles of drug interactions in man.
