Abstract
The emphasis of the Bi-State Regional Medical Program is on continuing education. Operational projects include a radiation therapy development and support program; demonstration units for diagnosis of stroke, for health care and education in low-rent housing projects, and for nurses' training in early intensive care of acute stroke; a medical library network; and a nurses' training program in coronary intensive care. Pending are a major radiation facility for cancer therapy and a rehabilitation program for patients recovering from myocardial infarction.
