Injury and Disease of Scuba and Skin Divers

Abstract

Even the inland physician may be involved in the evaluation and treatment of injuries and disease from skin diving and scuba diving. Most treatments are symptomatic, but decompression sickness and pulmonary embolism are specific emergencies that require recompression. All physicians should know the location of the nearest recompression facility.
