The Premarital Examination

Abstract

Letting a test for syphilis pass as a “premarital examination” may be living up to the letter of the law, but this is a weak defense. Neither is it right to assume that today's “sexually liberated” young people do not want or need medical information about sexual matters. They do need it and want it. Shyness keeps them from asking.
