Abstract

The causes of asthmatic crises are many, a major one being respiratory infection. Among others are too little medication and too much. Sedatives, narcotics and tranquilizers are dangerous in acute asthma, and so are adrenergics in hand nebulizers. An orderly program of treatment for status asthmaticus is outlined.
