Abstract

Many of the subjects seen for medical complaints in a clinic for adolescents had emotional and social problems as well. Patient interest in counseling was high, but relatively few actually discussed their problems with the doctors. This, plus the high dropout rate, suggests the need to redefine health care for adolescents.
